Dr. Nathalie Reid

Dr. Nathalie Reid is the Director of the Child Trauma Research Centre at the University of Regina and is an Assistant Professor in Trauma-Informed Teaching in the Faculty of Education.

Dr. Reid's career as a secondary English, French, Social Studies, Musical Theatre, and Drama teacher, in three provinces (ON, NS, AB), often alongside youth facing adversity, laid the foundation for her research program (teachers’ experiences of/with trauma). Through her work at the CTRC, Nathalie inquires in multi-disciplinary ways into the complexities of children and youth’s experiences while remaining attentive to the needs and experiences of those entrusted with their care.
